Phosphatidylserine is a fatty acid containing the amino acid serine and phosphate. It is an important part of brain cell membranes. It is associated with DHA, one of the omega-3 fatty acids; Phosphatidylserine is found even more in areas where DHA is concentrated. DHA is also required for the production of phosphatidylserine in the brain.
